My roommate Hannah was shocked one day to discover that I had never seen the movie "It's A Wonderful Life." She informed me that I absolutely had to see it. Last week I rode my bike down to the Madison Library and spotted the movie as I was browsing through the collection. I decided to get it. Yesterday, I sat down alone and watched it. I found myself laughing out loud at some parts and crying at others; particularly at the end when all the townspeople come over to his (George Bailey's) house on Christmas day and give him some much-needed money. (This may make no sense if you have never seen the movie, and if you haven't I highly recommend that you do.) It was very moving to see all the people whose lives he had touched, who were willing to give back to him when he was in need. It made me wonder how many lives I have touched during my 21 years of life. How would the world be different if I had never been born?
I hope that I have had an impact for good on the people in my life, and I hope to continue that as I meet new people and make new acquaintances. I will have that opportunity as I travel to D.C., among my new roommates and co-workers. What an exciting opportunity! I will also be able to share my beliefs and testimony with those around me through example and word. I am truly blessed and grateful for the gift of life that has been given to me. It truly is a wonderful life!
Well, I think you should know that you have touched my life! You are absolutely amazing and I'm so glad that we're were roommates and now amazing friends! Who knows what crazy roommate I may have received if you hadn't decide to live at La Jolla! I love you KP! You are a great example to me! Loves!
